1. Plan your placement. Identify the window, door, cabinet, or surface to protect. The alarm fires when the two magnetic pieces separate — both pieces must be mounted on opposing surfaces that move apart on opening.

2. Mount the alarm unit. Attach the main unit to the fixed frame or door frame using the included mounting method.

3. Mount the magnet piece. Attach the smaller magnet piece to the window, door, or cabinet on the opposing surface, aligned with the main unit.

4. Install the battery (if needed). Three LR44 batteries are pre-installed. If battery replacement is needed, consult the instructions for access.

5. Test before arming. Open the protected surface a small amount — the 105 dB alarm should fire within the first millimeter of separation. Close and confirm the alarm stops.

6. Use the deactivation key before opening your own window or door. Insert key to disarm, open, close, remove key to rearm.

Replace LR44 batteries when alarm volume weakens during testing.
